Ensuites, main bathrooms and powder rooms taken back to the studs and rebuilt — with the waterproofing certified, photographed and documented before anything covers it.

Everything a visitor notices about a bathroom — the tile, the tapware, the vanity — sits on top of the part that decides whether the room lasts. Membrane that is too thin at the junctions, a hob that was not sealed, a fall that runs the wrong way: none of it is visible on handover day, and all of it shows up in the ceiling below eighteen months later.
We waterproof to the Australian standard, photograph it before the screed goes on, and put the certificate in your handover pack. Falls are set before the screed rather than chased afterwards, and the joinery is measured after the tiling so the reveals and gaps are right instead of nearly right.
What is included
How it runs
01
We measure the room, talk through the layout you actually want and take you through tiles, tapware and vanity options so the price reflects the real selection rather than a placeholder allowance.
02
Everything out and the rubbish removed, then the framing, the substrate and the existing drainage checked for rot, movement or old leaks before a single new thing goes in.
03
Plumbing and electrical rough-in, niches and hobs formed, falls set, then the membrane applied to standard, photographed and certified before it is covered.
04
Tiling, then the vanity and any custom joinery measured to the finished surfaces, then tapware, screen, mirror and fixtures set out and handed over clean.
Common questions
A single bathroom is one of the shorter jobs we do, and we sequence the trades back to back so there are no idle days waiting on someone. You get the dates with your quote, before you commit to anything.
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper option because the drainage stays where it is. If moving the shower or the vanity would genuinely make the room work better, we will price both so you can see what the change actually costs.
Either. Plenty of clients choose their own and we install what they supply; if you would rather not spend the weekends in showrooms, we will put a selection together and price it as part of the job.
You get told the day we find it, with a written variation and a price before the repair goes ahead. Rotten framing and failed old membranes are the two things we most often uncover, and neither is something to discover on the final invoice.

We interviewed four builders and Unik were the only ones who talked us out of things. The fixed price held from contract to handover — not one variation we did not ask for ourselves.
Our block has a four metre fall and two builders walked away from it. Unik engineered it properly, explained every cost up front, and the retaining work is genuinely beautiful.
Weekly photos meant we could follow the whole build from interstate. The handover pack had every certificate and warranty in it. Our second project with them starts in March.
